Yeah…what he said.

I’m unnaturally tired this evening for no identifiable reason.
All in all Shelby gave a good synopsis of our weekend, but he did leave out my completely amazingly good breakfast that I made myself yesterday in honor of Dr. King. Poached eggs on toast, topped with sliced tomato, fresh basil and a pinch of raw sea salt. It was soo good, and more importantly, it was a tribute to a great leader.
Corrolitos is completely awesome- especially if you want to get off the &$#(*^*# grid. I’m thinking a cobb house in the area will someday be our best bet, if we do it when I’m old and eccentric (okay, more eccentric) I can inlay the walls with my burgeoning collection of rocks, shells and sea glass. Ooooh yeah, doesn’t get much creepier then that. You all know you want me to do it.
School went well today, one of my favorite students is back from an extended holiday in Mexico and another of my favorite students (Ignacio for those in the know) passed the writing portion of the High School Exit Exam- we just got the results in today so I was practically giddy about that all afternoon.
As an added bonus, because of the Holiday yesterday I keep thinking today is Monday and then I realize that the week is actually almost halfway over already- which is super cool because I’m thinking of dragging Shelby to the city to have some world famous clam chowder at the wharf next weekend.
Thank you Dr. King, thank you.

sorry about the yakima comment…

well….it was a nice long weekend for sarah and my self and we had a very “low key” weekend full of” vegging out’ lol we took long walks on the beach ate lemons off of joshes lemon tree and enjoyed both a dinner and a breakfast out on the town. i know pretty crazy lol. needing a fresh bag of food for our giant puppy friend we also visited a family owned feed store in the amazing corralitos. corralitos is a cdp or census designated place that lies in a valley between watsonville and aptos. there is a feed store a coffee shop and a mexican cantina as well as a wide variety of produce and tamales being sold on the side of the road. outside of this little village area are rolling hills palms pines and eucalyptus and several organic farms and csa’s. i love it i may retire there in the hills with goats and an old white faced rufus… and sarah of course. in the mean time the papers stated today that this crazy cold snap has damaged up to 70% of California’s citrus and avocado crops! now seeing as i believe bend to receive most of its produce from a dumpster in yakima this may not effect most of my friends and family but still i think its a sign that i eventually should become a farmer in corrlitos?……lastly my power was out for about six hours today because of a blown transformer weird huh? lets all hope this seasons power outage furnace breakdown trend is over because it sucks! when i move to corralitos ill be off the grid man off the @#$%^@#$% grid!
