Brrrr-y brrrrr-erson
January 13, 2007
I thought I would change the theme in on honor of the cold snap we’re all having. All of the local papers have cover stories about the freezing overnight temperatures. Plants all over town are dying- we brought all the potted plants in and so far the ones in front of the apartment have been pretty cold resistant- but tonight it’s supposed to get down the 27, so we’ll see how they fare.
This morning there was a layer of ice over the creek- a sure sign that things are not right in California. Josh noticed it only because of all of the people standing around staring at it like- “What? Ice? I thought ice came from the freezer?”
I think it’s officially COLD when Steve Prescher begins sporting a beanie- what is the world coming to!?!
Stay warm all!
Music I can’t hear
January 13, 2007
So, Shelby is asleep and I am not. As a means of entertaining myself I decided to add music to our blog- but here’s where it gets exciting… I have the volume turned off, as to not wake dear sleeping Shelby. That’s right. I went through the strange land of Sonific Songspot which offers only unheard of musicians and browsed the songs and picked one based solely on it’s title, which in this case is “connections” – trust me, it was better then the other options. And now you, my dear friends and family get to listen to a song whose title sounded appealing to me in the middle of the night- gotta love technology.
Actually, the reality is probably that when shelby awakes, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and I am laying with my head under the blanket grumbling incomprehensible words that are meant to explain why I am still so tired- he will probably go online and hear what I anticipate will be the really horrible music I have added to this site and remove it before any of you get a chance to “enjoy” it.
Nonetheless, I am currently laying with my head and the computer under the blanket giggling hysterically about this whole situation- uhm… yeah, I’m probably more tired then I realize.
Oh- have I mentioned that I cut my hair? Chin length bob or “the usual” as I think it should be called. Truthfully, I think I’m getting a bit old for the last minute haircut- this one has made me look even younger then usual… I’m thinking a pixie is not far behind- in the words of my sister esther, “go big or go home” although in this case it’s go short or go home… but you know…whatever.
goodnight.
